1. The material of the hanger can be copper, brass, aluminum or iron. However, when in use, it must have sufficient cross-sectional area, and the hanger must have good contact with the workpiece and the conductive rod, which can ensure that the workpiece has good electrical conductivity.
2. The hanger should be capable of allowing the current to flow smoothly to the electroplated parts, ensuring that uniform chromium deposition can be achieved on all chrome-plated surfaces.
3. Most chrome-plated workpieces need to be mounted on dedicated hangers. The hanger immersed in the plating solution must be made of the same material as the chromium-plated workpiece. For instance, steel parts use steel hangers, brass parts use brass and red copper hangers, and sometimes red copper welding hooks are needed at the contact points of iron hangers.
