In the production process of using electroless nickel plating solution, sometimes the workpiece always has pits on the upward side. What is the reason?
According to field experience and the characteristics of electroless nickel plating solution Ni-809, Bigolly Technology has analyzed the following three points:
1. The pretreated water is dirty, which will bring oil stains or solid impurities into the electroless nickel plating bath. These solid impurities are easy to be mixed in the coating during the deposition of the electroless nickel layer, resulting in pitting when the workpiece faces upward.
2. The efficiency of the filter pump is relatively low. There will be bubble accumulation or fine dust scattering in the plating solution when depositing the chemical nickel coating. When the filter pump can not filter out these fine dust well, they will deposit on the workpiece with the coating, resulting in pitting when the coating of the workpiece faces upward.
3. The process parameters of electroless nickel plating solution have deviation. When the bath temperature is too high, the content of sodium phosphite is too high, the stabilizer is insufficient, the complexing agent is too low or the load is too low, the reaction rate of the bath will be too fast.In this way, the plating solution is easy to decompose spontaneously to produce suspended particles, which leads to pitting of the coating.
Therefore, in the process of using the electroless nickel plating solution, the workpiece will always have pitting when facing upward. These three points should be noted to eliminate the fault as soon as possible and reduce the loss caused by the fault. If you are interested in electroless nickel plating solution, please contact the Bigolly customer service for free samples and detailed technical information!
