In the process of using trivalent chromium color passivator for zinc plating, how should the working fluid be maintained and managed to passivate more workpieces and prolong the service life of the working fluid?
According to the site experience and the characteristics of the trivalent chromium color passivator for zinc plating BZ-208, Bigolly Technology has analyzed the following four points:
1. Control of various operating parameters of passivator.During the production process, the concentration, pH value, temperature and passivation time of the working solution shall be controlled strictly according to the parameters in the manual, so that the passivation film of the workpiece can achieve the desired color effect. The practice data shows that each liter of BZ-208 passivator can passivate 7000-8000dm2 of the workpiece, but the actual production needs to make corresponding concentration control according to the shape, size and the different amount of the workpiece, which can ensure that the appearance of the workpiece passivation film is good, the thickness is moderate, and the corrosion resistance effect is good.
2. In the continuous production process, iron and zinc ions in the working fluid will accumulate continuously. When the iron ion content is greater than 30g/L or the zinc ion content is greater than 10g/L, the workpiece coating is prone to fragmentation, yellow spots and fogging. At this time, 10% of the working fluid at the bottom of the tank can be drained, and the concentration of the working fluid can be adjusted again with BZ-208 passivator before production.
3. When the production line is shut down or powered off, the workpiece soaked in the passivation tank should be lifted as soon as possible to reduce the accumulation of zinc and iron ions.In addition, when the passivation working solution is not produced, it is recommended to cover it with a cover to prevent dust or solid particle impurities from entering the working solution, resulting in changes in the trace components of the working solution and affecting the passivation effect and service life.
4. At least every 4 hours during production, use magnets to suck out the workpiece falling in the groove to reduce the increase of iron ion content.Practice has proved that the service life of working fluid can be well extended only when the workpiece in the groove is fished out frequently and timely.
Therefore, we can effectively improve the passivation efficiency of the working fluid and prolong the service life of the working fluid by performing maintenance and management according to the above four points in the process of using trivalent chromium color passivator for zinc plating BZ-208.If you are interested in trivalent chromium color passivator for zinc plating, please contact Bigolly customer service for free samples and detailed technical information!
