A soluble anode is an anode that can be consumed normally dissolved in the working solution during the electrodeposition process. Most anodes are soluble anodes, whether they are used in most complexing agent-type working solutions or in simple salt solutions where the anodic process can be coordinated with the cathodic process. In the production of nickel plating and tin plating, electroplating plants use soluble anodes. However, not any metal material can be used as anode material. For soluble anode material, the first requirement is the purity, generally require its purity in 99.9% or more, some plating species also require its purity to reach 99.99%; Secondly, its processing state, for high purity anode, usually after electrolytic refining.
Generally speaking, customers can use nickel anodes including but not limited to the following when using Bigely nickel plating brightener Ni-301:
①Carbon-containing nickel anode: it is cast in melted electrolytic nickel by adding 0.25%-0.35% carbon and 0.25%-0.35% silicon, with better dissolution performance.
② Oxygen-containing nickel anode: in the melted electrolytic nickel, add 0.25%-1.0% of nickel oxide casting, the anode solubility is good.
