When we use nickel plating additives, how do we control the cathode area and anode area if we want to use electrolysis to remove impurities?
In the use of electroplating nickel additives for the production process, if you need to remove impurities, then, for the metal impurities suitable for the use of large area cathode, small area anode, so as to reduce the cathode current density and increase the impurity metal ions contact cathode opportunity.
For oxidizing impurities, such as hexavalent chromium and nitrate, Bigely engineers suggest that plating factories use large area anode and small area cathode, which can improve the cathode current density; for the removal of organic impurities, which mainly relies on the oxidizing effect of the anode, it should be used with large area cathode and small area anode in order to improve the anode current density.
The area of the cathode corrugated board used for small-current electrolysis should be as large as possible, and when electrolytic treatment is performed, the electroplating plant should try to hang the corrugated board full to remove heterogeneous metal impurities (metal ion reduction deposition) by small-current electrolysis, so increasing the cathode area improves the efficiency of removing impurities.
