When we use medium phosphorus electroless nickel plating solution for production, there is such a phenomenon: the nickel layer will produce by-products of phosphite during the deposition process. With the production, the concentration of phosphite will become higher and higher, so the reaction rate of electroless nickel plating will be affected and gradually reduced. The deposition rate of the plating solution at the initial and final stages will have a large deviation, so how can we reduce this deviation?

Bigolly Technology made an analysis based on the field experience and the characteristics of the product medium phosphorus electroless nickel plating solution Ni-809, mainly including the following three points:

    1. Method of retaining mother liquor.A part of the old liquid shall be retained as the mother liquid of the new slot when the slot liquid is replaced. In this way, the problem that the reaction speed of the bath is too fast when the new bath is opened can be avoided, and the activity between the new bath and the old bath can also be reduced.

    2. The method of gradually increasing the pH value. In the production process of the plating solution, the pH value of the plating solution should be controlled at 4.8~5.2. When the pH value is high, the reaction speed of the plating solution will be faster. The pH value of the bath can be controlled at 4.8 when the bath is newly opened. With the production, the pH value can be slowly controlled at 5.0~5.2 until the bath is scrapped.

    3. Gradually increase the nickel ion concentration in the bath.In the production process, the nickel ion concentration in the bath should be controlled at 5.5~6.0g/L, and the reaction speed of the bath will be faster when the nickel ion concentration is higher. The nickel ion concentration of the bath can be controlled at about 5.5 g/L when the bath is newly slotted. With the increase of production cycle, the nickel ion concentration in the bath can gradually increase to 6.0 g/L.

Therefore, we can use these three methods in the production process of using medium phosphorus electroless nickel plating solution, which can effectively shorten the deviation of the reaction speed of the plating solution at the initial and final stages, and reduce the failure rate.If you are interested in the medium phosphorus electroless nickel plating solution, please contact the Bigolly customer service for free samples and detailed technical information!
