Errors can be classified into two types based on their nature, namely systematic errors and accidental errors.
Systematic errors are caused by certain relatively certain reasons during the measurement process. Its influence on the analysis results is relatively fixed.
What types of systematic errors are there? There are mainly four types:
① The analytical methods are not yet perfect. Take gravimetric analysis as an example. It is a classic chemical analysis method and has a high accuracy in determining high-content chemical components. However, in actual operation, we find that the precipitate has a certain solubility, and the theoretical endpoint during titration does not quite match the actual situation.
② The instrument itself has defects, or an instrument that has not been calibrated has been used.
③ The reagents or distilled water used contain impurities: for instance, the calibration of standard solutions is not accurate enough.
④ The physiological characteristics of the operator: for instance, being insensitive to the color changes of the indicator in titration analysis, etc.
When analyzing the data of the bath solution (containing decorative chromium additives), random errors are caused by some unstable reasons, also known as random errors. The causes of these errors are often difficult to observe. They may be caused by random fluctuations in factors such as air pressure, temperature, and humidity, or by unrealized incorrect operations.
