In the production process using the barrel nickel plating brightener, it is sometimes observed that the consumption of the solution is relatively fast, and the usage of raw materials and the brightener is also quite high. What could be the reason for this?
1. The bath temperature was relatively high, causing the liquid to evaporate without timely water addition. During the barrel nickel plating process, the temperature is controlled at 50-60℃. As a result, the bath liquid will evaporate and the liquid level will drop. At this point, the loss of raw materials from the bath liquid is relatively small. After replenishing water in time, production can continue.
2. Loss of the coating solution carried away by the drum. The loss of the coating solution carried away during barrel plating is greater than that during rack plating, especially for blind hole parts and small box-shaped components. When the coating solution is discharged from the drum, it should be stopped for a period of time. During the stop, for those where the motor and the reducer are fixed together, several more rotations should be made. This way, an average of 500 to 1200 ml of the coating solution can be collected from each drum. Additionally, a recovery tank can be set outside the roll plating tank to collect the coating solution carried away by the drum and also to replenish the natural loss of the coating solution. Such recovery and utilization can effectively save costs.
