Why does the acid copper brightener you use keep causing problems?
Sulfate bright copper plating, as an ancient electroplating process, has been continuously applied in depth with the development of various acid copper brightening agents. Scientists have long used various drugs such as gelatin and honey as brighteners in the research of copper sulfate plating solutions. They used them to refine the crystallization of the coating and prevent dendritic deposition, but the appearance, physical properties, and solution management of the results were not satisfactory.
Around the 1960s, some manufacturers of acid copper brighteners redeveloped various components as new acid copper brighteners. The new additives had advantages such as mirror-like luster and good leveling ability. As a result, they quickly became widely used in electroplating factories. However, as customers' requirements for the performance of the coating gradually increased, in the 21st century, electroplating factories found that these additives gradually could no longer meet the production requirements.
For instance, Mr. Qiu from Zhejiang reported that when using a certain acid copper brightener available on the market for plating, there would be some dot-like substances on the surface of the plated layer. And the longer it is left, the more obvious the phenomenon becomes. The reason for this is that the raw materials used for this additive are of poor quality. After the plating solution is aged, tiny dot-like substances will be produced on the plated parts. This will affect the appearance of the plated layer.
To solve the problem, as the manufacturer of acid copper brightener, the R&D team of Bigely screened a large number of raw materials under the optimal process conditions. Finally, they selected the appropriate raw materials. And through the Hall cell test, it was found that when this component was added to the additive, it not only could broaden the brightening range of the test piece, but also would not cause the malfunction phenomenon mentioned by Mr. Qiu as described.
