Before electroplating plastic, the operators of the electroplating factory need to carry out roughening treatment first. So, what matters should be noted during the usage process? Based on years of on-site service experience for electroplating factories, we have summarized four key points when using plastic roughening agents.
1. After degreasing, the plated parts must be repeatedly cleaned several times, then spun dry, and finally immersed in 80% sulfuric acid by mass before roughening. It is strictly necessary to prevent alkaline solutions from being mixed into the acidic solution in the roughening tank.
2. When the temperature of the roughening solution is high, the roughening time should be shortened. When the temperature is low, the roughening time should be extended.
3. During the operation of using Bigely plastic roughening agent PL-2, the operators of the electroplating plant should continuously vibrate the plated parts; otherwise, the roughened surface of the plated parts will be uneven.
4. When using a newly prepared roughening solution, it is generally necessary to adopt a lower solution temperature and a shorter roughening time. When the roughening solution gradually ages, the electroplating plant should increase the temperature of the roughening solution (appropriately) and extend the roughening time.
