When using the electroless nickel plating solution, which factors will affect the appearance quality of the coating?
1. Deposition rate
Generally, the faster the deposition speed, the higher the brightness. However, this effect is not obvious when the deposition speed exceeds 24 pm/h. Moreover, the higher the deposition speed, the easier the plating solution decomposes. The key lies in choosing the appropriate electroless nickel plating solution to balance the plating speed and the brightness of the coating layer.
2. Coating thickness
When the thickness of the electroless nickel plating layer is below 20 μm, the thicker the layer, the better the brightness. However, when the thickness of the plating layer exceeds 20 μm, as the thickness increases, the improvement in brightness becomes less and less obvious. 3. The original roughness of the surface of the plated part
