Among all the acid electroless nickel plating solutions, which one has better corrosion resistance?

Bigely engineer conducted research on the polarization curves of electroless nickel coatings with different phosphorus contents in a solution of 0.1 molar sulfuric acid and 0.05 molar sodium chloride. It was found that as the phosphorus content increased, the corrosion current showed a downward trend. Also, the relationship between phosphorus content and coating corrosion rate was obtained through immersion method, and it was found that only high-phosphorus electroless nickel coatings exhibited excellent corrosion resistance in acidic medium. If the phosphorus content is insufficient (4.5% P), it will instead promote the active dissolution of Ni, and if this continues for a long time, it will even evolve into catastrophic corrosion.

Therefore, it can be concluded that for electroless nickel plating solutions with high phosphorus content, the resulting coating has relatively good corrosion resistance.

Some electroplating enterprises have reported that after using their own prepared high-phosphorus electroless nickel plating solution, why did the workpieces have the problem of poor corrosion resistance? This is because no mature commercial electroless nickel plating solution was used.
