We all know that parts produced using the trivalent chromium blue zinc process need to have a nice shiny blue finish, but sometimes yellow spots show up on the parts after passivation, which really messes up the appearance of the product. Are these yellow spots caused by not using the trivalent chromium blue zinc passivation solution right?
1. Material issues with passivation tools. Some workpieces require the use of baskets during passivation, but stainless steel baskets should not be used as passivation tools, as they can affect the passivation effect on the workpieces. Plastic baskets should be used instead.
2. Structural issues with the workpiece. Some workpieces have blind holes, pits, welded seams, etc., which can trap water during passivation, causing yellow watermarks or spots to appear on the workpiece after baking. During production, the water washing process should be improved based on the structural characteristics of the workpiece to remove as much residual water as possible.
3. Poor water washing of workpieces. Workpieces may stick together during the water washing process, resulting in poor water washing results and causing yellow water marks or spots to appear on the surface of the workpieces. During production, water washing should be strengthened, or the water washing time of the workpieces should be extended to ensure good water washing results.
