Since the small test takes a small amount of plating solution and the total amount of impurities is small, it is often possible to see whether the electrolytic treatment is effective or not in a short period of time when a sufficient amount of power is passed through.

This small test shows that the plating solution can be restored to normal by applying 5A-h/L of electricity to the defective plating solution. It can be estimated that if the defective bath to be treated is 1,000L, about 5,000A-h of electricity will be required. If the control current for electrolytic treatment is 200A, then about 25 h of electrolysis is required.
